CJ CUTS is the brand of Charles Jerex Sangga, a Filipino barber driven by passion, dedication, and a vision to contribute to the growth of the barbering industry in the Philippines. CJ began his barbering journey at the age of 17 when one of his friends trusted him to give him a haircut. What started as a simple favor quickly became something he genuinely enjoyed. As word spread, more friends and other men began visiting his home for haircuts. At that time, CJ did not charge for his services. He believed that every haircut was an opportunity to practice, improve his skills, and gain valuable experience that could serve as a stepping stone toward a career in barbering. While pursuing his passion, CJ also continued his education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. After graduating from college, he worked as an Office Administrative Staff member for a major manufacturing company in Manila. He later worked as a Legal Secretary in two different law offices, where he gained experience working with professionals and interacting with people from different backgrounds. He also worked as a Customer Service Representative handling international accounts. Although these experiences helped him grow professionally and personally, CJ felt that something was still missing. He knew that his passion for barbering was something he could not ignore. Determined to pursue his passion, CJ took another opportunity to develop his skills. He enrolled in a TESDA-accredited barbering academy after receiving a scholarship for a barbering course. During his training, he gave his best and was recognized as one of the best students in his batch. From there, CJ continued to develop his craft and began using social media to share his barbering journey, showcase his skills, and inspire aspiring barbers to pursue their own passion. His journey has not always been easy, but CJ believes that achieving your dreams requires hard work, dedication, perseverance, and faith in God. CJ CUTS is more than just a haircut—it represents a journey of passion, growth, and the courage to pursue what you truly love. CJ’s story is a reminder that sometimes, the path to your purpose begins with something as simple as picking up a pair of clippers and believing in what you can become.
